Generic pills

It started out with some generic guitar riffs. There are so many good guitarists that they aren't worth a lot. What we need are good singers. There's not much I can say about this. It is very repetitive, yes, but it all sounds the same as well. I listened to it five times and didn't notice when it looped. All it is is a few chords. Needs more stuff. I know it's a WIP. 6/10. Generic score, not good not bad.

Hahaha yeah I know it's very generic :/ I've been thinking it through and even though it's a WIP, I still don't know if it is worth it to actually finish it. I'm finding it very hard to make something that goes along with this and that isn't so repetitive. Thank you very much for the review (:

Layer'd.

Until about 0:29 it sounded atmospheric and then the atmosphere changed completely until around 0:48. The beginning reminds me of music from "Mass Effect" XD. The stuff coming in at about 0:57 was very nice.
This is an interesting chord progression and an interesting bevy of sounds layered in here. 1:38 reminded me slightly of "The Matrix". The sound effect at about 1:51 was very well done and again at 2:04.
2:19, the main theme hadn't gotten old and was still interesting. It feels very atmospheric the whole way through. The ending went back to the atmospheric olden days at the beginning of the song. You achieve the prestigious 9/10.

Thanks for the review, and may I say....what a review!
I very much appreciate the input!

Glitchy.

Sounds glitchy. The squeaking was kind of annoying. It would have been maybe a nice misc. loop for something had the squeakiness not been there. Also, the quick things at the end didn't really fit with the rest of it. 7/10

Extrem3

In the beginning, the sort of slid into being and phased in and out. It's an interesting sound. It titillates my ears. The massive side-chaining helps with the head-bobbing. I don't think the pitch bending during the song really does anything. At around 1:37 it sounds really random with the random change. Still, interesting to listen to. Needs to be longer. 7/10

Iced Liquid Stars

The intro was nice. I think that the whole song should sound like the intro. The intro lyrically plays on until 0:19 when the drums and bass kill the mood by sounding nothing like it. The swooshing sounds are harsher than they should be.

The clap sound added sounds weak. Then, more kick and bass come in and make my speakers shudder. >.< Then comes part of the thing from the intro which doesn't sound in harmony with it at all. Then we get the intro back at around 1:15. Then another loud sound that's not in the same key destroys the mood again. Then my speakers start shuddering again at 1:42.
I'm noticing a pattern.
The biggest complaint I have with this - other than the fact that the intro isn't a full quiet ambient song - is that the intro sounds sound nothing like what the song is.

It's distracting and completely contrasts in some distorted way. This doesn't sound like trance at all and the pause at 3:03 is very annoying. Then the song just peters out.
I dislike the lack of an ending, the fact that the beautiful sounds of the intro are so harshly dashed and the fact that the main song clashes so horribly when they're put together. 4/10

Firstly, thanks for the review.
secondly......well, i just put it under trance because that's the closest genre to hardstyle.

Speaking of witch(forgot how to spell itxD) some parts of your review basically indicate that you don't know the genre, either that or you simply don't like it xD.

the kick 'n' bass at 0:41 are suposed to be hard, same with the melody(maybe i overdid it? :P).

i was going for "a nice justaposition of elements" but seems that was not the case or else you would've mentioned something like that in the review :(.

if you don't know hardstyle some names you might wanna look into would be:
Alpha Twins, Brennan Heart (Blademaster),Headhunterz, wildstyles, DJ Ephixa(has newgrounds acount), just to name a few.
thx again bye.

Chilly.

The song sounded mostly the same the whole way through, but I liked it. It added new stuff every now and then and stayed chill. The effects were nice. It does have a slight proffessional sound, but it has an amateur sound that I really like. Professional music tends to not sound as good to me. I could listen to this song for a good 20 minutes.
The length actually benefited this song in the long run. ^_^ Get it? Anyway, I know that this review could be classed under "just saying that it's good" but I really don't have anything really bad to say about it. 9/10

Well, it sounds quite much the same, but doesn't does all house music? xD I guess you just like it xD, thanks haha.

Gufrogle. That is the question.

Firstly, I'd like to say that this song sounded too long to me. Any song over 4 minutes seems like it's pushing it. It had some thick and nice textures but then they got too thick. Maybe that's just because I'm not a fan of hardcore music. I'm just reviewing what I hear based on what I like to hear. That's the beauty of getting many reviews. You get many perspectives.

The part from 0:0 - 0:24 seemed like it had no relationship at all to the part that came next. The part at 1:00 seemed like a harder version of the second part, which was a good thing. Like I said, the hardcore sound seems too thick for me. It seems a little oppressive. That's just me though, I can appreciate good songwriting.
The part at 2:14, again, had no relation to what came before it. Then came 2:50 which turned it into a harder version. Nice trick.
It does sound a little disjointed, though. 4:00 was another such random change to hardcore part. At 5:30 the song was long enough for me to forget if I had heard that part before, so no nostalgia there. The song ended with the first part which was a good enough ending for the song.
Overall, I'd say that this sounds average to me. I've become desensitized after listening to years worth of Newgrounds' techno. 7/10

Dj-Zurge responds:

Only 4 minutes? Well considering that we were going for professional length, this is about average.

Too thick? Not very many patterns playing at once man, and this is completely different from Hardcore (UK Hardcore and Hardcore are two very different genres).

Alot of UK Hardcore has a hard intro and a soft transition or two.

So you're saying that Hardcore is bad songwriting?

The melody at 5:30 is a variation of the first melody, it's longer and has a few note changes, so it's not the same.

Then why are you continuing to listen to and review it?

???QWERTY???

I can see that you're attempting to be the metal Stamper. The song seemed comical due to how hardcore it tries to be. Like in your other song, the guitars weren't quite loud enough and the vocals were cheesy and a bit amateurish. Not enough growl for this type of song.
The loud sound effect is what completely killed my will to listen to this. It would have at least been O.K. until that ear-rape. I took off 2 stars for that alone.

BlackTurds2010 responds:

Stamper is not a factor in the equation that is BlackTurds2010. This song is hardcore. As a matter of fact our music is the most hardcore music you have ever listened too. I agree with your notion that the vocals could have used more growl. They are indeed not hardcore enough but if they were then our sun would collapse into a black hole and swallow the earth and kill us all.

As for the loud sound effect... Our singer choked on a pretzel while recording and that was the result. We decided to keep it because it was so brutal.

Thanks for the review.

Not very listenable

The song was pretty rough. The lyrics were almost unintelligible in some places and the sound effects in the beginning were pretty disgusting.
I found the song to be hilarious due to how cheesy the lyrics were. It was so over-the-top that it seemed like more of a parody song than an actual song. XD The guitar in the background were maybe a bit too quiet and the vocals too loud. This song tries to be memorable due to the shock value, but I wasn't shocked. 7/10

BlackTurds2010 responds:

Yes, this song is very rough. It was so hardcore that we didn't care about properly recording it.

Everything is intentionally unintentionally hardcore.

Thanks for the review.

Quirky

I've never heard the actual song, so I can't comment too much on the melody. What I did notice was that it reminded me of the type of jazz they play in 50s movies combined with cuban music. At times the bass was disjointed from the melody.

The bass sounded a little low or maybe just not the right bass for it. It lost tonality because of how low it was and because of how low the quality is. There was a short pause at around 0:17 that I think you should fix. I like how this sounds in general and if you fixed the minor details it would be much better.

DarkKyoushu responds:

If i am thinking of the same thing (with the pause), then that would belong there.

Thanks for your Review...i'll try to fix it and look out for it in other tracks.
